Angie's Kitchen
As part of the Krause Auto Group, Genesis of Kennesaw isn't just a dealership — we're a group of people who desire to make a difference in our community. Two ways we demonstrate this is by supporting lung cancer research and promoting autism awareness — two causes that we have a deeply personal connection to. Our latest community outreach effort originated from Vernon Krause and Clifton Dawkins' vision to assist our neighbors in need in Atlanta and Fulton County, GA. Introducing Angie's Kitchen: a new initiative to feed the hungry.
On September 6, 2021, we opened Angie's Kitchen with the goal of providing daily meals to the homeless and underprivileged in the city of Atlanta. Angie's Kitchen was named after the late Angela Krause, daughter of Vernon and Marie, and sister to Jennifer, Matt and Zack Krause. Its mission is to serve the children of God while demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ to all. We invite you to help us!
The smallest donation makes a difference. Consider donating any of the following non-perishable items:
- Canned Soup or Soup Stock
- Little Debbie's Packaged Snacks
- Pasta
- Rice
- Black Beans
- Kidney Beans
- Boxed mashed Potatoes
- Canned Vegetables
- Tomato Sauce
- Pasta Sauce
- Canned Fruit
- Individual Fruit Cups
- Ice Tea, Kool-Aid or Lemonade Mix
- Pancake/Biscuit Mix
- Cornbread Mix
- Macaroni & Cheese
We are asking banks, churches or other community business partners to commit to donating the following perishable items once a month or once a quarter (depending on the quantities donated):
- Ground Sausage
- Ground Beef
- Frozen Fish
- Chicken Thighs or Breasts (frozen or fresh)
- Chicken Nuggets
- French Fries
- Bacon
- Breakfast Sausage
- Sliced Cheese
- Lunch Meat
- Eggs
